Kate Bush... gorgeous etc...

...but WHAT was the video director thinking!? (or drinking  ) Combats and ties....??!! What's going on there?? Household Cavalry on exercise again maybe??..... (OK, probably made by 'Not A Penny Spent Productions', but jeez.....)

Song TITLE for Walts maybe, but definitely not the lyrics (which came with a message at the time when things were a tad busy in the very early 80's) :

Our little army boy
Is coming home from B.F.P.O.
I've a bunch of purple flowers
To decorate a mammy's hero.

Mourning in the aerodrome,
The weather warmer, he is colder.
Four men in uniform
To carry home my little soldier.

"What could he do?
Should have been a rock star."
But he didn't have the money for a guitar.
"What could he do?
Should have been a politician."
But he never had a proper education.
"What could he do?
Should have been a father."
But he never even made it to his twenties.
What a waste --
Army dreamers.

I never listened to the words just liked the title as in ARMY DREAMERS

So maybe I've got it all wrong and I should change the song to summut else.

Five weeks ago today I had the misfortune of meeting some twonk who stated that he was a former Lt in the Welsh Guards. The man was an A1 Plonker! As in he talked though his arsehole. At one stage of the evening I went to the heads (toilet) only to come back to the Beer garden to catch his views on living in a location with half of his men being dead. The Prong was in tears so he was.......It was then that I decided "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!" Just ask Flighty about the Moronic Eeijut!

So I took the Bull by the Horns and asked him if the Welsh Guards still had the nickname they got after the Galahad was set ablaze at Bluff Cove down in the Falklands. He didn't know what I was talking about. So I told him what their nickname was after the attack.........."THE TOASTIES!" and then informed him that if he continued to talk though his arse I would REMBRANT him in no uncertain terms.

At that point he realised that I was not taking prisoners and deemed it a jolly good idea to piss off sharpish and annoy other people less likely to want to rip him a new arsehole! Ain't seen the dipshit since thank the fecking Lord!

Over the last 18 years I have had the misfortune to meet in the flesh dipshits like this Eeijut on a fairly regular basis. I have also met them on this website and other websites as well. But in the end Walts are sussed, outed and binned by the rank and file who use the sites for info and meeting up with Owd Oppos.

Why Oh why do these usless arsewipes try it on?

But WHY is it always assumed that the Walts gravitate towards 'the Army'?? (...when in fact it's 'anything GREEN'...)

Why not the Ambulance Service for a change? They wear bright green coveralls these days... Give us ALL a break

Beautiful woman, favourite Kate Bush song, sad song, tragic song, favourite singer. But yea, you've latched onto the title mate rather than the content.

The song (very apt for the time it came out with the very high unemployment rates) is about young men from working class families and without educations and options going into the armed forces, serving overseas, getting killed in some conflict, (NI perhaps) then being flown home with their relatives waiting on the apron of an aerodrome for the
coffins to be unloaded from the aircraft.

B.f.p.o.*
Army dreamers.
Mammys hero.
B.f.p.o.
Mammys hero.

Our little army boy
Is coming home from b.f.p.o.
Ive a bunch of purple flowers
To decorate a mammys hero.

Mourning in the aerodrome,
The weather warmer, he is colder.
Four men in uniform
To carry home my little soldier.

What could he do?
Should have been a rock star.
But he didnt have the money for a guitar.
What could he do?
Should have been a politician.
But he never had a proper education.
What could he do?
Should have been a father.
But he never even made it to his twenties.
What a waste --
Army dreamers.
Ooh, what a waste of
Army dreamers.

Tears oer a tin box.
Oh, jesus christ, he wasnt to know,
Like a chicken with a fox,
He couldnt win the war with ego.

Give the kid the pick of pips,
And give him all your stripes and ribbons.
Now hes sitting in his hole,
He might as well have buttons and bows.

Ooh, what a waste of all that
Army dreamers,
Army dreamers,
Army dreamers, oh...

(b.f.p.o.)
Did-n-did-n-did-n-dum...
Army dreamers.
Did-n-did-n-did-n-dum...
(mammys hero.)
(b.f.p.o.)
Army dreamers.
(mammys hero.)
(b.f.p.o.)
No harm heroes.
(mammys hero.)
(b.f.p.o.)
Army dreamers.
(mammys hero.)
(b.f.p.o.)
No harm heroes.

I'm an RAF dreamer  I've dreamt many times how it would be to go in again, then thought, naaaah I couldn't stomach the low pay first time round, so I'm not going to do it again.

Let’s forget the Kate Bush song shall we?? Well, apart from the title …….and then it’s only a tenuous link to Walts…

If you REALLY want something for the Walts of the e-world then how about some POETRY?!! Can’t find a YouTube rendition, but my fave is from John Cooper Clarke's 1979 album ‘Walking Back To Happiness’. JCC was known as ‘The Punk Poet’ and this one sums up your average Walt…..

Like a Night Club in the morning, you’re the bitter end.
Like a recently disinfected shit-house, you’re clean round the bend.
You give me the horrors
too bad to be true
All of my tomorrow’s
are lousy coz of you.

You put the Shat in Shatter
Put the Pain in Spain
Your germs are splattered about
Your face is just a stain

You’re certainly no raver, commonly known as a drag.
Do us all a favour, here... wear this polythene bag.

You’re like a dose of scabies,
I’ve got you under my skin.
You make life a fairy tale... Grimm!

People mention murder, the moment you arrive.
I’d consider killing you if I thought you were alive.
You’ve got this slippery quality,
it makes me think of phlegm,
and a dual personality
I hate both of them.

Your bad breath, vamps disease, destruction, and decay.
Please, please, please, please, take yourself away.
Like a death a birthday party,
you ruin all the fun.
Like a sucked and spat our smartie,
you’re no use to anyone.
Like the shadow of the guillotine
on a dead consumptive’s face.
Speaking as an outsider,
what do you think of the human race?

You went to a progressive psychiatrist.
He recommended suicide...
before scratching your bad name off his list,
and pointing the way outside.

You hear laughter breaking through, it makes you want to fart.
You’re heading for a breakdown,
better pull yourself apart.

Your dirty name gets passed about when something goes amiss.
Your attitudes are platitudes,
just make me wanna piss.

What kind of creature bore you?
Was is some kind of bat?
They can’t find a good word for you,
but I can...

TWAT!!!
