training partner and eyesight - might have a problem

hi guys,
been reading having a look around these forums over the past month and have finally decided to register and see if anyone can help me out with something I think may be a problem for me applying for the paras. Had an eye test yesterday and I require glasses and will now be wearing contacts. Does anyone know what the limit is for passing the eye exam as my eyes are -1.5 in left eye and -1.75 in my right, this is where the problem might lie as I have heard that your aiming eye should be stronger whereas mine is the weaker one.
Also while im posting I was wondering if anyone is near the sevenoaks/maidstone area for training as I would like to find someone to train with as it will make me push myself even harder. Currently looking to apply towards the end of this year which should give me enough time to get my run time down and build up more upper body strength. At the moment im running the 1.5 in 10:43 which isnt fast enough yet and im only managing 40 push ups in 2 mins but 60 situps in the 2 mins.
