Vanguard - Top British Kit
Posted: Mon 16 Jun, 2008 11:35 am
by First Tactical
For many in the British Armed Forces the name 'Wyvern' is synomonous with quallity and forums and military kit-review websites are dotted with testaments to the reliability of this custom-made gear. Now rebranded as
Vanguard, First Tactical can now offer some of the best British-made kit that you're ever likely to find.

The
All-Arms Load Vest is one of Vanguard's best-selling products. A competant LBV designed for the modern British soldier. Fits over Osprey armour and is available in fully IRR treated woodland and desert DPM.

How hard is it to find a decent DPM IRR holster? Vanguard's
3-way PLCE drop-leg holster answers that question firmly. It can be worn on the thigh or waist and accomodates all mid-framed pistols.

The
Trooper Chest Rig is a solid platform designed to work in conjunction with modern body armour systems. Three ammo pouches can hold 9 mags snugly and the two utility pouches make this a real winner.

Vanguard's
Drop-leg Dump Pouch is a must have item, safely stowing used magazines inside a ruged pouch with a double-layered elastic flap to prevent spillage. Like all Vanguard products it's IRR treated and available in both woodland and desert DPM.
Make sure you check out the rest of our Vanguard range at
www.firsttactical.com, including a host of pouches for grenades, flashbangs, radios, SAW ammo cases etc.

Have just been looking at your site and it is good to have more site based in the uk selling TAG gear but having looked at your prices for a number of items in particular
Split Front Chest Rig £289.99
Basic Medical Pack £249.98
compared with Drop zone supplies prices
Split Front Chest Rig £199.95
Basic Medical Pack £174.95
http://www.army-surplus.co.uk/militarygear/index.html
Was wondering how your prices are so much higher and if you are willing to do a price match

Hi there, thanks for the inquiry!
The main reason for those original prices is that we are a very new company and are not able to buy TAG equipment on as large a scale as Dropzone clearly do.
However, we have now
re-evaluated our prices to make them more competative so take a look and see if there's anything you like. We
are able to offer a Price Match service on certain items, if you're interested then drop us a line using the Contact page on our website.

Oi, it says "advertise your site." It doesn't say "swamp the farkin place!"
Best off ordering direct from the US and paying the shipping if this is the only company selling certain items the UK.
Uh, yeah, good luck with the company, though!

Hello all.
This is just a quick update to say thanks for all the orders we’ve received the last eight months, we’re glad to have helped so many of you. As a new company we really appreciate the support shown to us so far.
To celebrate Crimbo we’ve reduced the prices on loads of our kit across multiple ranges so stop by and see if you can snag a bargain. We’ve had a large delivery of Tasmanian Tiger, Vanguard and Warrior kit arrive recently with more coming in the New Year. Cobra Optics, Luger and Leatherman have now been secured and you can find these on the site right now.
Prospects are looking good for January. We’ll be kicking off by launching a new Camping/Outdoor section, expanding our range to cater for those looking for some rugged, reliable outdoor gear including sleeping bags, tents and cookware.
We’re also expecting delivery of some brand new Swedish M90 BDU gear (the real deal) sometime before Christmas so drop us an email if you want a heads-up. We’ll be taking it along to Militaria 2009 if you fancy a look.
Thanks again and hope to hear from you soon.
