hi lads , my para helmet came in the post today and im having dramas. can someone please go through how i actually do it up? ie, the long strap at the back i presume is supposed to go through the silver 'D rings' by my chin, but how? any help would be appreciated, sorry if this seems bone. Dan

I see you're in Hereford. Why not toddly down to Stirling Lines and ask if someone from Air Troop would be kind enough to help you out. Make sure you take the helmet with you, mind, or they might get confused!

Yes of course there is such a thing as a Para Helmet.

However the lads over in Helmand are being made to wear the Mk6A due to it having better ballistic protection. Before someone starts off the old chestnut, "Para lids are just made of fibreglass bla bla bla", they have been made of kevlar for some time now.

Dan, to the original question, stand by for PM. Probably a bit more useful then all these silly answers! :roll:

Yeah the blokes are loving that! I've heard a lot of my compadres have missed out the middle man and got hold of Gentex helmets instead.
