Yes there are a few lads in my Troop who are from N Ireland.
I was concerned about similar things prior to starting RT, but the training team couldn't really care less where you are from, all it does is give them some ammo for banter to start with, once they get to know you they will quickly suss out other things to take the piss out of other than where you are from :agrue: .
I'm guessing they might pick up on how solid you are for one!

As in "a thick cnut" :-?

yea thats another thing...

if i pass and get accepted and placed into a Troop, what are the chances of doing a tour in N.Ireland....

has anyone encountered any problems with being from n/ireland and then ending up patrolling your old streets?

- what about issues like your family being put at risk if you are serving in your very own back garden lol?

Are you a total muppet? When was the last time you saw a soldier on the streets over here? I'm guessing you are in your teens, you need to stop taking those drugs.
