I am due to start training in about a week and whilst at the AFCO for my final interview he told me that RAF Halton might possibly close down for a week over Easter. He wasnt sure wether they do or not. Is it true?

Probably.

For example, when I was in the RAF, whole stations would shut down for 2 weeks block leave in the summer.
