Intelligence Officer questions rspond b4 16th october !

hi guys,

got a "informal chat" at my AFCO on tuesday, ive finally made up my mind and im going for intel officer!

just need the answer to 3 simple questions ( which i cant find the answers for on the internet!)

1) What base do intel officers do their training after IOT at cranwell?
2) how long is training for
3) and what does the course have in it? e.g. what things do you get up to whilst there!

please respond with the answers lol no comments saying "the answers are on this forum so look harder" lol there annoying!

Can't answer them right away, but will see if i can find out for you.
Be warned - we only take on 4 IntO's a year, and 3 of those will be from the ranks. IF you get in, you will spend the rest of your life delivering briefings which have been written by someone else....

i've found out from the a intel officer that you do you JAIC (Joint Air Intelligence Course) at RAF Chicksand and is 22 weeks long!

i dont no what the course has to offer but i imagine is top secret stuff so i doubt ill be able to find it out?!

I don't exactly know everything involved in my job yet, and i've been in training for it for 3 years now!

What Hypers said about just delivering briefings may be true initially but once you get into the trade there are a whole load of different routes you can go, some very Gucci indeed, but none of which can be discussed in an open forum.
