Army Officer
I am starting an application for Army officer. I am from the Wirral and have been told by some people that I have a scouse accent. I don't have a thick accent, but admitedly I do have an accent, as do the whole population. I have a friend who used to be an RAF officer and he has told me that I would not be likely to pass selection as an Army officer because of my accent.
In peoples experience, is there any truth in this? Or is my friend exagerating?

RE aCCENT
Hey there im also starting to apply for army officer.. got my briefing interview in 2 weeks.. I really dont think ur accent would matter
they select you on youur leadership potential and all the other criteria the set out ie educational qualifications, acievements, knowledge on army , current affairs .. my opinion is i dont think you need to worry dude just concentrate on what they have asked you to do
Besides lol im sure everone in the army who is an officer doesnt always speak like they have gone to ETON ...
Good Luck

Seriously, I would imagine Guards Units would remain the domain of the so-called upper classes as far as Officers go, for some time to come.
And Fodd is obviously taking the pish.
Seeing as how he`s from the WIRRAL
