Asthma (another question!)

I know this has been covered before but there is never a straight answer, my problem is i had childhood asthma triggered by animals, i only ever had 1 attack when i was 5 (i'm 24 now) and no symptoms since 16, i dont use an inhaler but when i went to work abroad my doc gave me an inhaler just incase, that was 6 months ago, i've not lied on my application and explained to my doctor that i'm trying to join the forces, he gave me a 1 month peak flow test which i passed above average, just to cover myself, i also got another note from my GP to be sent with my med records saying i have no symptoms and my inhaler was prescribed as a precaution because i was working abroad for a while,other than that i'm about 8 years clear, what are my chances of being defered?

none mate, if I remember correctly, you have to be clear of it for a minimum of 3 years, including mild symptoms. You've got notes from docs etc saying you're fine so you'll be a ok.

its the 6 inhaler i got 6 months ago thats worrying me, suppose i just better sit tight and hope for the best.

If the inhaler is worrying you ask it politely to sort its own shit out and stop given you grief.

Ive got the same problem m8, however im in the army m8.You have to be 3 years clear of ashtma however i was only a year my came on due to animal related
Basically i went to bupa hospital and had peak flow test and other test done that cost me £130.Then i went to army docs for anoter report and for the print offs that cost me another £30.So all together That cost me £160 i sent that to my careers office and there sent that upto RSC Glencourse.Got a phone call a couple of days later saying there accepted me

cheers mate, if i get defered i will try that route, it'll be frustrating tho as ive just come back from an insight course with the paras done my 1.5 in 8:32 blah blah so i know i will be fine, oh well will let you know how i get on, thanks again for the info
