Good point, ariadne.

It may seem free but the actual price may cost you an arm, a leg, 80% burns or, possibly, your wedding tackle. :(

Arent vehicles in the military automatics, so they are probably only going to teach you to drive with automatics in oppose to manuals, automatic license means you cant drive manuals (legally anyway  ), but if you like Chryslers or Ford:Cruise-O-Matics its all good.

No, they certainly aren't, I think they'd have a job making some of the vehicles they use all automatic.

Where do people get such stupid information?!?!?! When I learnt to drive in the Corp the L/Rover I drove was that old you had to double de clutch the bloody thing! But by far the worst thing was the eight track! You'd spend all day in the cab having to listen to such stuff as Perry Como singing "Magic Moments" over and over again.

As it was I never mastered the art of driving a pony and cart either! :D

Before you start getting offensive, if you read my damn post without skipping words you will notice I had a subjective tone. Automatics are easier to drive by giving the driver less work, so im guessing that's more beneficial in a combat zone? Plus, i know that HMVs are automatics, so I thought british vehicles would employ the same thing, it was an educated guess! If you cant see where I'm coming from I'm not the stupid one.
