We have a good client basis including Rolls Royce, Goodrich, BAE, etc. so it's not small-fry that we deal with.

I thought it might be a good idea for me to put a link up on the relevant section of the forum to let people know about the company. We specialise in defence and aerospace and therefore have jobs coming in all the time for ex-service in the UK. Mainly engineers, designers, pilots, etc.

I know how crappy it was when I got out of the Army trying to find a well-suited job. I thought that when I get relevant jobs up that ask specifically for ex-forces then I could post up the details of the job on my thread.

Engine Mechanic

1 full-time and 2 part-time (4 months per year) aero-engine mechanics are needed for the flight test programme of a new military turboprop engine.

The flight test will last for 12 months and will involve fitting the new engine (TP400) on to an RAF Hercules which will be used as the flying test bed.

You will come from an RAF background and have worked previously on Hercules engines. Full training will be give on the TP400 engine, this will be performed of 4 weeks and be based in Madrid.

Full time work will be 40 hours per week over 5 days, part time will be a total of 840 hours over the course of the year.

Duties will include the attachment and removal of the TP400 engine from the Hercules wing and on wing support and maintenance throughout the flight test programme.
