I noticed the requirement for an Army officer was 140 points and 5 GCSE's grade A-C. Currently I have the GCSE's and can gain that amount of points if I hit my predicted grades for my AS levels. Does the Army require both AS and A2's or are you good to go if you have gained the required amount of points.

Thanks for any help.

i thought you would have had to have gained a full A level in at least one subject? just what i would have thought, may not be the case. www

Yes. Simple answer. You will need atleast 2 A-levels to get accepted to Sandhurst.

However, if you join as a soldier then apply for a commission then all you need is GCSE's. The selection process is alot longer if you do things this way round, and i guess alot more is required of you at Sandhurst as you are already a trained soldier.

Ok thanks, I’ve just found out you have to be educated to a university level, i.e. have the appropriate grades and points to be accepted onto a degree course.

Cheers
