This may sound stupid but my Great Uncle was one of the 1st SAS in WW2. God bless his soul, he died in 1998! He was a good man but from his actions during WW2 it effected him the rest of his life!

Is there a way of tracking down any records or finding name lists etc on the SAS during this time? Or is it still counted 'sneaky beaky'?

It`s not counted Sneaky now Jo. Is this to do with your blog or are you just curious? Do you have Service number, because it`s much easier if you do. SAS Association or Public Records Office or the office where Perce keeps his stuff, will all help you babe. Tab, feel free to tell us the address of Army Records

Yep, I want to track the info down. It is interesting and to be honest, not much of the Irish side left to question anything. I don't have his service number. He became an alcoholic after WW2, the family say that he never really talked about what had happened but it took its toll on him. Mind you he was a very good character :D

I don't know if any remaining members are still around but it would be nice to find out, wouldn't you think?
