http://www.parachute-regiment.com now has the new advert linked in on their front page.
"Infantry. Forward as one."

Some nice footage in that, not so sure about mixing it in with the stuff in the club though! Quite liked the clip at the end, the lads looked like they mean business!

The Army, Navy and Marines all know how to make really good recruitment adverts to go on telly.
Shame about the RAF.

Sloth, learn to read and write before criticising others with picky little points like that. I counted at least 8 spelling/grammar errors in your one sentence.

Greenronnie I need you over on MFAT with me, spelling and grammar over there is farking appalling.
Plus anyone clocked Mr Sad Pants from ARRSE yet under general discussions (MFAT), laugh I nearly bought a round in.
Toodly pip, just realised Im a hat gobbing off in Para Regt's domain.

ronnie get a sense of humour punctuation and spelling aside it was a joke and besides it was a good point when i went through depo the forward assist was drilled into us hence me saying i hope it was an actor and not one of the boy's, im exceptionaly proud of my time in the reg and in no way at all will ever slag it off meerly pointing out an obvious mistake made in promo slothster with baited breath awaits......

Sloth, you must have baited breath after that last post, you said it all in one shot.
When I went through Depot (note the spelling of that key word), the forward assist hadn't been invented. But that was Depot, as in Depot Para, not ITC Catterick. So what Bn were you?
As for a sense of humour, of course I have one (I need one to deal with the new blokes from Catterick), but your post was not funny, just nit-picking.

I was always told that the A2 didnt require a forward assist due to the modifications on it.
Besides i still think its a good advert and it will get alot of people interested.

oh i had fun and games with 1 para for a lovely little while sorry reply took so long not got much access to a comp.
as i said wasnt nit picking just poking fun at the ad which it does have to be said could have been a lot better.
the A2 does still require forward assist and if nothing else its good drills id rather take the split second to foraward assist than advance to contact and have a stoppage from a ill fed round anyday of the week the dieamco c7 has a forward assist onit and in my opinion is a far superiour weapon
anyway's toodle pip am off to live upto next deadly sin gluttony awaits

Most modern weapons are far superior! However where does your experience with the C7 come from? Other than seeing ally pics of SF with them?
I was 1 Para too by the way, 90-95. Which Coy were you?
