TA Vs Regs

Just wondering what the relationship is between reserves and regulars. Over here (Dublin) im in the Reserve and you get all the regs looking down their nose, even ex reserves. They dont like us, for no aparent reason and there is an awful lot of well bad blood between some people in the units. They refer to us as baggers

In the UK the regs refer to the reserves as STABs (Stupid TA Bastards)
and the reserves call the regs ARABs (Arrogant Regular Army Bastards)
so I guess its the same relationship as you have found in the ROI.

Thats very good stabs and arabs i like it. Were called baggers short for human sandbags for the regs

I've never had too much trouble with it. The only people I know who have were on operations at the time, and basically had nothing better to do than have a go with each other.
It's all the same uniform at the end of the day, why should it matter?
Well, unless you're a filthy scaley...
