Stix, listened to a report from 5 live last night, Aunty Betty was on board, queing up for scran in the forward galley, was it the Portsmouth Band that were playing?

It certainly was Portmouth Band 'The Royal Band'.
The lads had a busy day and are still at it with the Trafalgar Square gig very soon as well. Bread and Butter gigs are the best!

A lot of people may not realise that the colours ceremony on Victory is the same every year on Trafalgar day. Buglers, small ensamble, Hymns, Prayers and a few well chosen words.
Coulours is every day, just as it is on any other man-o-war

Got it in one Stix...Trafalgar day was one of the few occasions that the ships company inc family were invited on board to watch the ceremony. That has all gone by the board now as the guides are all civvies.

Anybody settle an argument in the pub.
What is the correct sequence of the toast? ie The Queen ect.
ps I always thought tha the Navy remained seated for the toast :-?
