:D Look back over the years, and to all those who have served in the various parts of the World, what would you consider to be the Spiritual home of the Royal Corps,no doubt some of us would come up with the various barracks by the sea, could it be Chatham (the Grand Division) now only consigned to a memory,Eastney where most learned their trade and sea service training, now luxury flats and far beyond the reach of the Rank and File, Leaving us with the only possible Home 'Stonehouse' Barracks.Allthough I would say that the CTCRM is now the home of the Corps.

The 3rd Commando Brigade's spiritual home Far East or Middle East, seeing that the actual 3rd Cdo Brigade decended from the No 3 Special Service Brigade in the Far East, and post war moved from the Far Flung to the delights of Malta and back again to the flesh pots of South East Asia??.Thinking on It was certainly a mobile Brigade.Okay Far East or Middle East.Aye JR

Strikes me me that the Brigades home is wherever there is trouble. Since B'Liar and his mob seem hell bent on backing up Bush Junior regardless of what the general public think.

As the Sprog of the forum, I`m afraid I can`t identify with the Far East. For me, it`s a toss up between CTC & Eastney, although I did a stint with Air Defence Troop at Stonehouse.

So in answer to the question....erm....no idea really

I would say Malta, Jim, While it was stationed abroad it spent more time in the Middle East than Far east, though I much preferred the latter.
