Gentlemen As a Bootneck, I'd like to Congratulate you all on your Excellent Celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the Landings at Arnhem especially the Guys who made their final Jump....... It brought a lump to my throat and a Tear to my eye

I'm having a very large GT to them now . I thought it was GT that was bringing a tear to my eye, but I can see the tears rolling down my wifes cheeks and she doesn't drink.
85 and still jumping, I'd like to think I would be able to do the same.

I read that one of them that did a tandem jump was blinded at Arnhem 60 years ago.

I went down to the Ginkel Heath (where they do the jump each year) yesterday and it was absolutely marvelous. Indeed, hats off the veterans who did their jump again, not sure everyone of them would agree it was their final one though!
Went to the cemetery afterwards and that's always a place that brings a lump to my throat.
