I like the way most people begin their text with 'If this is true' as if it would be, for one thing the RM recruits train at CTCRM not 42 Commando RM. I wish the MOD would tell the press to go F**k themselves, they do us no favours at all, as if a OC or CO would allow this to go on, and now one good NCO gets his career shafted by some tabloid half wit, well done the NofTW, stick to showing tits!

Cheers Doc, another thing that I know to be true is that the News of the World chopped and edited the scenes in the video to make it appear more ghastly then it was, and as for the author of amongst the marines or whatever its called, what a cock! more fiction then the Bible

Naked' marine denies bully claim
A Royal Marine shown in footage leaked to a newspaper lying naked and unconscious during an initiation ritual has denied he was bullied.
Ray Simmons, 23, told the Daily Mirror newspaper the colleague who hit him was a "good mate", saying "it was just a game that went too far."

Looked like the lads having a good laugh to me, it's just that to the average civvi it's a bit shocking getting naked, fighting, pissed up and all that. But the average civvi doesn't have the same rough and tumble mentality of the average soldier.
Anyway, good effort Royal, for taking the heat off the Reg for once!!
