I used to have cushions in my house bob the boxer is stalking them all, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt and blaming the children for the various puddles around the house!!
is it worth buying one of those "specialist training" books for Bob? Any tips on Boxer care are welcome. he is going for a walk on the beach tommorow for the first time!

I think we can safely say that is a typing error, not lack of brains. I sometimes notice some typing errors in my posts, and i generally go back and change them. I must have missed that one.
Just for the record... S A R C A S T I C.

Have fun at the beach.....boxers generally love the sea. just make sure that he doesn't drink the water and give himself a sea water enema from the inside

I have a Boxer too and they're a great breed but mine has developed a dislike of swans and likes nothing else than to take them on on their on turf - way out in the middle of the lake - God I hate Winter I shall bring a wetsuit next time.

On the dog topic,
my two are renown for tearing up any interloper(One male, one female)
Male's a blue chow, females a border collie they have both defended their territory to the death at one time or another, exit one full grown panther.
My sweet likle doggies tore it to hell and back(Had some splaining to do
when Wildlife in their cute green uniforms showed up)
Recently however a neat rotty has shown up and both my little terrorist's have taken to him,he's young but fully grown, don't care much for people
so I'm assuming he's been abused and then dumped by some shitforbrainswhoshouldneverhavechildrenletaloneadog(Thats one word'round here)
Anyhoo, once I can get him to feel at ease with me I'll get him to the vet
and he will become a member of the fandambily.
Nice Chrimbo story eh!

My family has always had Boxers.
I recognise the 'don't let them drink sea water' phenomenon, Cliodna.
My bro-in-law had unspeakable stuff to clear out of the back of his firm's car (top Jaguar salesman in the north west) when they took Alfie (dog) to Shell Island for his first birthday!
And one of mine pebble-dashed the whole house in my absence one day after eating a box of fire-lighters and the remnants of a chicken bhuna!
Great dogs ..... but daft as 'owt.
You all know the toddler bang-the pegs-into- the- hole toy?
My last Boxer, Jasper, would lie on the hearth rug while Ben -as a toddler - knocked the hammer of said toy methodically into the small dip between his eyes.
Very patient but the look to me was 'You silly tart. ARE YOU NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?'
They are great escape artists, aren't they, and ours escaped early one morning and was flattened by a gurt big truck which didn't stop but was seen by the paper lad who came howling to my front door.
The dog dragged himself home and died in the I'M A SCAMMER SPAMMER!!!.

Bob loves the beach and eating sticks, sand, dead seagulls. he did not like the live seagulls though and hid behing my little girl. Kids loved it to bob is never lacking in hugs and pokes but seems to be very tolerant!!
I am takinghim to the vet though as he has what looks like quite a sore eye which might be from the sand. Great dog though I am glad I chose a boxer.
have a great christmas all the members and mods and I will promise to post only when worth listening to!!

Good afternoon,
Careful - with so many of the 'best members' in one thread at one time - you are in danger of being decapitated should the forum recieve any incoming. What would these pages be without the select few moderators, their side-kicks and hangers on? (I like to call them 'the Elite').
It is my opinion (but any one of 'the Elite'; please feel free to correct my opinion as you see fit) that this forum has totally gone down the swanny in the last year. Not just in terms of quality of threads/posts but also in quantity.
There is so little of interest nowadays its a wonder you can justify the webspace.
I would recommend you lose the (Care in the...?) Community forum and just have a 'members' only area like they do at my local discoteque - it makes those boring big heads feel special too.
Regards,
Dante.

Now, cats ..... a completely different kettle of fish.....

I might only be a newbie, but I can't see why you lot can't just LIVE WITH ONE ANOTHER. I realise some people are immature/walters/just plain twats, but instead of retaliating how about we try pointing out where they're going wrong. On another forum I went to I was the ultimate twat from April-June 2003, now I like to think I'm one of its most respected members!
So please, chaps, try to get on!
