I too was shocked by what a bunch of fuggin' poofs they seemed to be. Was also annoyed that I never heard about entering the programme. I would have loved to have done it!
Not a bad programme overall though, even if I did get quite wound up by the general lack of moral fibre.
That wouldent make good T.V though, people want to see wingers and conflict between 'em. No one wants to watch a bunch of decent blokes piss their way through it all . I found alot of it hilarious, them lads definately learnt somthing new about themselves.

Exactly, got the idea a lot of it was pre-arranged. Who could say no to a veteran just because you don't want to cross a river. I don't think anybody would have said no to him, it's not like they were forced into the program, right?

Well, there was that lad that was "volunteered" by his mum. He was even getting paid 70 quid (I think, can't remember the exact figure) a week to stay! He didn't stay though....

Well, I’ve seen this post up on the board for some time now, and so I decide to read it now… and find out I’ve missed two chances to see the program…
My Mum bought it up this morning “I watched a program the other week with some civilians training with the Marines”
“Yea?”
“It looked really hard, they had to do abseiling and go in a river with just there underwear and tops on”
“Really…”
“Some of them didn’t want to do it…. I’m so Proud of you!”
“Yea, alright mum… did they have to do wet and dry routine?”
“… What’s that?”
If anyone spots it on again then obviously post the date and time so I can see what all the fuss is about!
With regards to heights, I hate them but i've never had such trouble with the ropes or airial confidence tests - You really do get lost in the moment, if you psych yourself up you just do it. trick is not to think about it to much. Bearining in mind I haven't done the tarzan course yet, that might be a different story...
Aye,

When my mum was watching the program with the marines program with me she was llike
"Oh no Joe, they'll do horrible things to you. They'll be nasty to you
"Be quiet Mum" was the answer.
My dad was more supprtive.
"I reckon you could do this" was what he said.

I used to go to work with that 18 year old, he is called Chris Smith. Funny thing is he put in a claim against the company saying he injured his back and couldn’t move without being in pain. He went on the programme, and um....lost his claim!
PS. He couldnt work at all, he was very lazy

Maybe just tired from training

Does anyone know if the series is going to be repeated or released on video? I saw four of the episodes, but managed to miss most of the Royal Navy one - Aaargh!

Anyone who can help will be rewarded with a mountain of stuffed pelicans
