As regards to food guys, I'll be posting up on Thursday when I get back from work with a list of suggested items. There will be limited hot meals - but you needn't worry about them, as they will be prepared by our resident chef.
The same still applies though, bring food that will last you from Friday to Sunday.

Hughser, if there's a mountain rescue station near your start point, leave a copy of your route-card with them (not done much in the Beacons so I'm not too clued up on where the MR stations are sorry mate), if not, find the nearest and let them know.
Check out the BMC site for any useful info if you haven't already.
Good luck with it.

Food
This applies to most foods - any foods that will be ok when left for quite a time are good to pack.
Think energy - bananas, oranges, toaster pastries that can be heated easily and yoghurts.
If you can get hold of them beef jerkies are good but expensive. Pepperoni between bread or on its own, cheese, fruit, scotch eggs.
Snacks - Fruit and Chocolate bars such as Mars, Boost are always good, but bring whatever you like. Haribo is also a favourite for energy. Marsh mallows are a must!
Dont go mad as a limited heated breakfast and supper will be supplied. Although it might not be enough to cover a meal per person.
Drink
Bring plenty of water, 5 large bottles (such as storebought squash bottles) As much as you can fit really. I would also suggest bringing a bottle of squash, with some glucose (dextrose powder) mixed in, and 2 pinches of salt. This will be a good energy boost or lucozade bottles.
