There are firemans carry circuits you can do. Run up hill 20m (or there abouts) and back again then rest for 1 min, repeat it five times. Just like the hill sprints really. Then you can do baby carry after that or wheelbarrow or a cullybackey (dunno if thats how you spell it :P). I cant remember the circuit properly but its good, just make something up. Makes you feel pretty sick mind you, when sprinting up hill with a persons weight on your back. I used to do it with my mate and he was 14 stone. It was pretty sickening. But once you get used to it, its fine. I would say it helps with running coz you know that you can push harder and push through the sick feeling. But then again everyone is different and just need to try things out till you find the right combinations.

Think that's gone down, sure it was 160cm when I joined, could be wrong. Anyhow it's not very tall, there's a lad down here who looks about 5' (wide as well as tall, he's a stocky little barsteward). Me and me oppos have had many an entertaining debate over how he gets over the 6' wall!

Thats 4.97 feet. Even jimmy crankie might be tall enough.

Yeah, 5ft tall is a tad small... are the height requirements the same for officers?

Couldn't tell you, check the Navy webby. Traditionally officers had to be taller, don't know if that still applies today (or even if it ever did in RM).

well, im gonna go towards to navy website and presume they are correct. but knowing them it could be out of fate info and recently cahnged. officors is 165cm i think. but 151.5 cm is small.

when i was younger when i heard of marines i alwasy had an image of 5ft tall men but really wide and stocky.

151.5 cm, any lower and youd be smaller than the bergan and weapon. not really but would be very hard work
