Could I politely request that members who have yet to fire a round in anger from whatever weapon they enjoy please refrain from entering a pissing contest to those that have, its only going to get personal and spiral into a slagging contest

By which measure I once fired a 81mm mortar in anger and missed the coont by miles. :o :lol:

Soon sent back to my slit trench to count my brufen stocks. 8)

Actually if truth be known my fall of shot indicator was more of a puff than a boom..........................safety pin was left in situ as I plopped it down the tube


93,94,95................ok ones missing......whos had a femoral bleed and used a brufen????????????????

By the way, we had an Aussie attached to us in Afghan who put a 51 mil bomb downrange in a contact. There was no bang, and he thought he'd fired a dud until I asked him if he'd taken the safety pin out........nob! :D

We went into Suez with the old 303 Enfields and came up against the AK 47, and that was not a lot of fun. Fortunately the Egyptians had been throwing crates of the AK 47s of lorries hoping that the local population would pick them up and fight the infidels, well they seem to have had better sense and they left them there for us.
