Oi you
Don`t you mock Norge telly
We have SBS Public Broadcasting down `yer

Bit like the World Service on telly. News in Spanish and Deutsch and loads of stuff all miles better than Neighbours, obviously.
Last week on the Foreign Drama slot(i.e. anything better than Neighbours ) you`ll never guess what came on
Only the bleeding Eagle, that`s all

Top Scandinavian cop series, it`s the bollocks

Subtitled, but I still manage the odd bit before the titles come up. Mrs Aitch is dead impressed
Anyway mate, cheer up, the mozzies will be out soon

Ho ho ho - Outside with the mozzies is two points better than inside with
'Home and Away' and our ration of 'Stingers'......(Politiagentene på Norsk)
I forgot to mention that we have educational programmes such as the
above - and 'Heartbeat' from the Mother Country - why I've never
fathomed. I am often asked if I've ever visited Aidensfield - I can hold it
going for hours on the local pub, the marital state of the Doctors, nurses,
local bobbies etc.... Mind you - having poked fun at the series it DOES have the only useable music on the box at the mo ..... sixties is sort of 'in'
As we are going into the lamb crunching and munching festivity according
to my faith may i wish all readers a Contemplative Easter - gan canny !

Hadawayanshite, man.
The name of the cop show is ORN, (as in gives me the raging)
Have you stopped burning missionaries then, Trog?
When did that start
It`ll never catch on.
Love to you and yours mate, stay warm

I am an independent-minded, belligerent female of the species.
I suggested you did some research on the stats re immigrants and asylum seekers. Did you do that yet? I suspect not.
I am a teacher with Manchester's Diversity and Inclusion Team.
Our very jobs and existence depend on the needs of the pupils, their families and the schools they attend. I refer to 'Asians' as short-hand. I guess you mean all and sundry and a bit black who are a bit 'different.'
Where would you place Poles, for example?
As a Local Authority service the stats dictate our involvement.
So, as you can guess, I take a keen interest in the coming and going of special families .
Or you could always take the crap written in the Daily Mail as gospel.
Jayne
Jayne,
I teach Diversity to new recruits and it's probably the most popular subject as we all have various views on things.
I may pick your brains from time to time on this as you are obviously a master!!
Sean
With pleasure, Goldie.
Hope you're not taking the rip.

I too am an immigrant - so I suppose are our members in Canada,
Australia, New Zealand, Kernow, Spain etc
Being an immigrant gives a lot of purpose to life - lots to learn.
Being an asylum seeker must suck - if you're not made welcome -
We are all pilgrims - ( pilgrim translates as 'Stranger' )

When i teach diversity i get the students to look at what immigration means to them, i.e. lack of jobs, drain on NHS, not wanting to speak English and living in the same areas for example Birmingham having massive Asian areas...............turn that onto the good old English, most live in Brit ex pat areas in Oz and New Zealand so that htey feel at home just like the Asians in Brum, in France and Spain it's the same so no need to learn Spanish or French etc etc etc i could go on for ages lol

Ho ho - if there was another Brit here we'd form a club -
And - English is not a viable option in our local emporium
( the dialect here is a bit like Geordie to another Englishman too )
You could, I suppose, spice up the locals day by asking for a leek -
Lik - same pronunciation - is the Norwegian word for corpse.....

Norwegian would be "Ørnen" - if you dont have the fancy 'Ø' it would be
"Oernen" - Eagle - series is Danish/Icelandic as far as I remember.....
No problem - we're in the process of building on a wing - "they" cut the
lines to the antenna t'other day - withdrawal set in until we bought an
indoor job - at least I can still read text news.....

Knew it wasn`t orn

I`ll fill meself in later
Ørnen pronounced "urnen" is it?
I`d give the blonde one, mind
and the girl over his right shoulder`s worth two at least
