I was going to post that, USARMY, but seeing as how I already dropped more tonnage on you than in all of WW2 I thought I'd let you say it.

[quote="Ploggers"]And possibly the best to date;
Thursday 6th August, while signing the new defence bill in Washington, the leader of the free world said;
“Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we,” “They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.”
What a guy!

.....

The leader of the free world... makes me feel all warm and fuzzy(actually, that's the old malaria kicking up just a little).... and just a tad bit worried on the odd occasion. But is Kerry any better? ...and by the way Carter was a nuke officer in the days when Rickover hand-selected everyone by personal interview... which says a good deal about the man. Ford was somewhat maladroit, but a very successful Business Executive. And last but not least, Reagan was a good lifeguard while he was doing that, and a pretty fair Actor for his day, and he had great hair!

Hey, Ploggers! I`m a big fan of "Bushisms" myself, so please, keep them coming! A president with the IQ of a small mollusk running the great US of A is rather unnerving at times, particularly when he does away with the US Constitution, and puts in place a new Teutonic order instead.

I think he has the IQ of a lobster, which is why I will name my next lobster after him just before tossing it in the pot of boiling water.

Hey, Snyder! The following is one of my favorites
My trip to Asia begins here in Japan for an important reason. It begins here because for a century and a half now, America and Japan have formed one of the great and enduring alliances of modern times. From that alliance has come an era of peace in the Pacific." —George W. Bush, who apparently forgot about a little something called World War II, Tokyo, Feb. 18, 2002

I wonder what Bush's father, the WWII pilot once shot down by the Japanese, would have said. How about this:
"My trip to Asia begins here in Japan for an important reason. Ever since we fulfilled the death wishes of its army, vaporized two of its cities, occupied its land and imposed a new form of government, America and Japan have been cooperating. From that cooperation has come much better cars and a period of relative stability in the Pacific."

Hey, Ploggers! Here is a fresh one for you. We may want to call it "Tribal What-ery?".

My favourite Bushism, produced by his effort to better illustrate the complexities of modern day inter-agency co-operation......"the left hand (Bush holds up right hand) didn't know what the right hand (Bush holds up left hand) was doing."
Actually that leads me to my two favourite Americanisms in general. Aussie travellers returning from the US say the two most FAQ's they get from Americans they meet are:
1. "Your're from Austria huh.....now where is that now.....?"
2. 'Do you have kangaroos hopping around your streets down there in Australia?'

Here are a couple I ran into:
1. "Belgium,.....Belgium...., BELFAST!"
2. "Belgium,.....Isn`t that the capital of Germany?"

Nope. Its those pesky Koala bears that are the problem. The darned things are so slow. Plays havoc with the traffic.

O.K., so you're kidding around with me. But aren't there those six-inch-long brown mambo tiger snakes that swim up the toilet, bite your genitals and kill you within 20 minutes? I think I saw it on that snake guy's TV show.
