Iv'e enjoyed reading the banter from RM and shite from above. so it got me thinking. lets look at the site that they have? So I asked Jeeves and Mamma.com but found nothing. It looks like the only para Site there is is using Once a Marine!!!

On the gate at Moscow camp... a para patrol comes in with a cherry beret on the back of the land rover.
Para "Oy bootie or is that cabbage head" (he laughs and the chimps in the wagon start laughing.

DFA, When you are talking about paras and pegasus being taken out of each other. Were you making reference to when Z coy, 45 cdo had to take B coy, 3 para out of pegasus during the Radfan?

nokka, whose profile interests are 'sex beer beer sex' and DFA who has no interests or occupation, are poor representatives of a Regiment whose short, ( very short,) history has some moments of pride. If my long term Para Regt friends were to see these inputs, and I will make sure they do, I am sure they will try to 'look you up'.
When I was in Provost at Stonehouse, I took a prisoner to the Military Correction Centre at Colchester. I thought I had walked into the Para Regt Depot by mistake as there were so many Red Berets there doing time!

Not a problem with Marines, but come on lads, take a good look at your selves. The meat and veg is young in terms of history, but boy have we gone down in history for events around the world. Royal may have one or two more, but in years to come we will equal for sure the way it is going.

Lets wait and see how this next one goes, lets see how the media build us up, mention British PARATROOPER, and ears are pinned back, just hope if it gets dirty we have Royal flanking or supporting or robbing our began caches, 40 take note 1982 (Socks).

I must agree with you that if it's the media that are going to decide who did what to whom, then it's no contest. We are not renowned for demanding attention, and we prefer it that way. It's like the SBS and the SAS really, none of our guys can even work a typewriter!

Yes when did we carry out our last Op jump. Well for me Derek, have never done one, but sincerley hope this next shin dig we get the chance. Would be a real nice 23.5 year career finish for me, but for alot of the young lads i,m sure they would leave after achieving the ulitimate, just like the Falklands war, which would be a great shame to the Reg and Royal. Its good to see that the Red and Green machines are coming back, into the lime light. Kosovo, Sierra Leonne, Afganistan, Macedonia i recall being the last. Any way back to your original question, 1956 was the last Op jump, and that was into the Suez. lastly any Royals and Para deployed on this next event, good luck to you all!

There's a list of good things a parachute is used for, a bivvy, a track suit, PE kit, curtains for the grot, shade in the med etc etc, but dangling a pongo never came high on my list.

What I don't understand is what do Marines train for? Jumping out of a landing craft? CCF do that! Nothing really much to train for apart from a green hat which is lighter than the Green Jackets. And the title Commando what does that refer to? Commandos in WW2 did raids behind eneny lines in small men teams more like SAS and SBS. Now you call yourself a commando for swinging round a rope? Are you likely to do that in combat?
