Ýeah I have got a sense of humour but sarcasm on forums doesn't quite trigger it. I only came on this forum to see if any one else was going on the same PRMC as me but I might quit the whole thing now because I haven't got a sense of humour.

What was the point in the comment? There wasnt one.

Also I didn't come on this forum to say how fast I ran. All I wanted to know is if I had done what I had been told, beat the record, that's all.

But some other members maybe RMs that come on here and take it the wrong way, and say you need team work not just to run. Who said you didn't need team work who said anything about that ???? And how do you know I can't work as a team already ?

The mentality of some of the comments, I think if there isn't a debate/argument going on someone will make one.

Now I'll get a reply "you wont pass out you have the wrong attitude"

Some people on forums do my head in, all I did was ask to see how people got on at their prejoining fitness test, not I ran it in record time so I wont have to go through training because of my time

sort yourselves out please

Surely you can.

I know what your saying mate, but look at the title of the thread, records at a PJFT don't mean alot really, and taking the piss out of people who have been on here for a long time will get you no friends! :D

The people that you're presumably describing as 'gimps' have either completed RM recruit training and had a career in the Corps or are in training at CTC. They've "come on here" for quite a while now offering encouragement and advice to genuine lads who want to join the Corps. If they're a bit short with gobshites like you who seem to think they're the first person in the world to think about joining the Corps then who can blame them.

You can run fast..........BFD. You need to sort your attitude out and grow up.

No records don't mean anything but does that mean not to talk about them? Or if you do talk about them, to be made out as if you are trying to say you are fully prepared to be a Marine, or will be the best Marine just beacause you mentioned them.

Oh is that how it goes on forums? The longer you have been on the forum the more your opinoins count, and other single numbered posters opinions dont matter, if they write a post turn it around to somthing different like telling me to be a Marine isnt all about fitness?

WHEN DID I SAY IT WAS ?

Anyway I'm editing that comment because I do not wish to offend anyone at all as none of this is personal.

see you have now misread the thread i wasnt saying i could run fast i was simple putting a first post on here of what stage i was at in my application

calling someone a gobshite over the internet and i need to grow up ??

i understand you theve been there and done it all but if i had come on here saying i am the fastest person in the world ill be above everyone else becuase of the time i can run a mile and a quarter i would understand them saying what they said but i didnt did i !

i just wanted to see who was on my prmc and what times other people got its unbelievable how some one can misunderstand a thread that much and if i came across as naive and ignorant becuase of the time i had ran then i apoligise and retract all my statements but i have read through the thread i carnt understand why anyone would think i thought that i was superior becuase i ran that time??

Don't think anyone is saying "he thinks he is the end product because he broke a record". I think they mean that it's good, but it's the very first step of getting to where you want to be. Talk about it when you have passed PRMC or Recruit Training maybe.

And no-one is saying you haven't got the qualities to be a good Marine, they are just reminding you what else you need! :D

up.

Exactly my point, reading a post then making a comment that has no backing or evidence just an out the blue comment back up what you have just stated please.

Where in my comments do I think I am the first person to think about joining the Corps ???? All I did was say how fast I ran.

Please make more of an effort with your posts Tom.

Bang on Andy!

Who gives a flying feck if you can run a mile in one minute! If you can't work with your fellow Bootnecks as a team member then may I suggest you apply for the Brownies?

Far to many wannerbies come on here posting times akin to an Demigod on steriods.

That to me is implying I think I am superior because I ran a fast time. I don't know who gives a flying feck, I just thought people would have been interested, but obviously they're not, imagine I said I had passed the hearing test with flying colours

I'd get

Far too many wannabies come on here posting great hearing abilities akin to a rabbit on steriods.

Ok, Ok,

My constructive suggestion would be why not cut down on the fizzy drinks and try a nice cup of Horlicks

Everyone has there opinion mate, some you may not like. And there is banter and piss taking throghout the military, so you got to take it on the chin!

All you need to do is back up your points or opinions and respect some of the older members, like anything in life, they have read more posts and replied to more people than newbies like us! :D

p.s fair pay for running a time like that, can you do it on a road though! (with hills!) :D :D :D

Thanks mate
I know I seemed as though I was causing trouble there, but I wasn't arguing about the fact at what people had said just trying to get my point across at what I had actually meant.

I actually bought some night before last to replace the misidentified malt Horlicks which I never drank after a weak first mug.

I do respect other peoples opinions but I just didnt understand where that came from thats all and I do APOLOGIZE for using the word 'gimps' that was offensive and immature on my part.
