I'm 8-9% usually. Slightly higher at the moment due to summer hols and all. For athletic body types 8% body fat or slightly lower is not unusual for a male (women need around 8% more apparently) so 7-8% is no worries for someone whos conducting the type of training most on here are putting themselves through. Don't read that as meaning the aim should be down to 8%, just that it wouldn't be unusual to find it did drop down that far.

i have had what i been told by lasses a 8 /6 pack for a long time, probaly sinse i was 12, this due to swimming and playing the trumpet...no jokes now.
i been swimming sinse i was 5 and this helped loads and trumpet helped tons with breathing, i even now doing trumpet again to help me.
heres a tip for them: swim short and fast around 2 hour workout in pool with a mix of sprints and 1 or 2 long swims ie 1500 mtrs x4 x2.
after 3 years you will have a 6 pack.
p.s people who claim to have one usealy have the "fast slim pack" as i call them, celebs have these too, they do short exercises purely for show yet they have no proper muscle tone in abs.
if you want good pecks it takes at least 2-5 years to get them, al the rest look good(if you like them all looking the same silly shape).
anyhow dont worry about pecks i think marines care little what you look like.
