Have you seen any programmes or read up about the French Foreign Legion? There certainly are English people who serve in the legion, for reasons that are nothing to do with national sovereignty or betrayal of the people. The orders are given in the French language which must be learned, and their commitment is not to be smirked at any less than you would a English soldier serving the crown.

When they've served their five year contract, many choose to establish their original names and passport without using the option of granted French citizenship and French passport. There are very passionate people on this forum but I've not seen anyone slate the legion before. I assume you're letting off steam for something but you haven't given your reasons.

no no not letting off steam lol its just my opinion really i come from a proper patriotic family so its been sort of drummed in from an early age which is probably abit old school now because of the multi cultural enviroment we live in and thats not being racist lol
