Just found out that the only way I will ever get myself in the armed forces is to:

1. The MOD reduces the restrictions on Laser Eye Surgery full stop within the next 5 years.

2. I join another nations forces that allow it (such as the US).

Yayness.

id rather join the froggy legion, my mate was telling me about it

theres no messing about with checking medical records and stuff either, so you could have it done and pass the medical

you just find your way to france, and have an interview and they tell you there and then if they'll have you

if they do they keep you at the recruitment centre for a couple of weeks(you get paid) where they do tests on you(medical,iq and aptitude) and do interviews and then send you off for basic

but the downside is your serving france, and you cant return home or call home even if a family member is dying

I've just read your posts mate. Bloody hell, I am really sorry. I can't imagine how bummed and lost you must be feeling at the moment. I have a long term injury (been injured over 6 months now - hip problem), and if I was told it wouldnt repair and I couldnt enter, I would be devastated. I'm feeling really sorry for you, especially like you said in another post 'certain' other members of this forum (we all know who I mean), is perfectly healthy and acts like a fark-tard.

Any ideas on what you may do?

I see you're from Southampton mate, I know we aint met in real life, but if you fancy going for a beer, lemme know.

Just wanna say thanks for the supporting words. Its much appreciated and just goes to show you def have some of the qualities to go on and make bloody good Marines.

As you can see from my post to 'you know who' I am devastated, angry, frustrated and disappointed. But I'm not a whiner so I wont.

In terms of 'what to do now' I dont really know! I love my martial arts and everything so I may just carry on training balls out and go for competing properly and see how I go. I've decided to go for LES since I have nothing to lose now! So I can get kicked in the head and not worry about losing a lens!
