ok fair enough but round my area and being around my friends its so simple to get hold of drugs as in coke thats what they take when they have had a beer just for a little lift nothing more than that yes i have taken it and i dont care what you say yes its wrong but thats life and i know if i get in the army i will not use then because i will have much more better things to do if you have used feel free to comment if not then in my opinion you have no place to comment about the use of it

It was simple enough to get hold of round my area as well - I just chose not to, and if you think that means I am not entitled to an opinion on users after seeing what happened to my best friend then I suggest you imagine how you would feel if someone you loved was lying in a nursing home being fed via tubes into their stomach and unable to recognise their own family, or communicate in any way. I hope you never know the feeling of thinking it would be better if they'd died, or see parents give up their lives to look after their child, knowing they will never have the future that they'd hoped, never get married, have kids, or even a job, just lie in a bed and stare at the ceiling for the rest of their existence, all because of drugs.
I have little problem with the fact that people will have taken illegal substances in their past, before they join up, as I said, I had the odd joint at uni. But my issue is with anyone who thinks that they can be a part of HM Armed Forces and still do drugs at the weekends.
If anyone I knew and worked alongside was doing that then I would have no qualms about telling the police.

Many of us come from areas where it's easy to get access and I work with amazing access to pharmaceutical grade drugs - access isn't difficult.
Personally I take a bit of caffeine and alcohol. Both fun in moderation and both legal (& taxed).

It's those who say that they're past that and do something useful that deserve the praise. The real consequences aren't pretty, they just don't make the headlines.

Its called willpower, if you don't have any then forget the Army as they don't want you! its not hard to leave drugs alone. As above in the shit hole I live there is near enough a dealer on every street there is even a meth dealer lives next door to my nan but you don't see me touching any of that or any other stuff for that matter as I value my life.

Don't belive all the B.S myths that it takes 6 weeks for canabis to leave the body, it doesn't.

Yes, because the Army's equipment can pick up drugs far better then any other equipment . This is the general amount of time the drugs can be detected in the body.

Amphetamines 2-6 days
Barbiturates 3-8 days
Benzodiazepines 2-14 days
Cannabis / Marijuana 14-30 days
Cocaine 2-5 days
Methadone 2-8 days
Methamphetamines 2-6 days
Opiates 2-5 days
PCP 3-8 days
Tricyclic Antidepressants 10 days
Anabolic steroids- Upto a year

Its simple don't do them. Your joining the armed forces!

Google isn't true on everything, Drugs cant stay in any body any different amount of time it all depends on the motab of the person taking them, the days you put up are just a normal period for the average person's body, obviously a drug addicts or drug users bodys are different so if you wan't to find out some info that isn't posted on wikipidia tru using youre GP.

I didnt say nothing about me taking it did i? i was just asking thats all out of intrest, im joining the army yes and you wouldnt serve along side of me because you arnt as good!

Sadly the majority seem to be... even me as one of them (British child, not dumb... though that is maybe debatable ) I'm shocked by some of the number of tools I come across everyday.

There are plenty of good lads (and lass's) mind... just have to look past the general toss pots found on most street corners of a Friday evening.

One such incident of dumb vandalism I came across today as a matter of fact was some graffiti reading 'BMP- go ome asilum seekers' (spelt just like that!) I hang my head in shame to even be in the same country as theses mong's who don't even no the correct abbreviation of the political party the supposedly follow
