Chunky, that zimmer frame of Archies, was it the Mk1, or the Mk2 with stabilizers?

Bootneck,
It was the Mk 1 with sturdy angle irons, my Mk 2 is much faster, but the stabilizers rusted off, couldn't get to the heads in time.

Chunky,
Why did you think I was in the sewers in the first place? I'd had a go at the pussers rum and it was too much even for me. I managed about a pint and a half before I fell in! Some other bootneck must have nicked the rest. I have to tell you that falling in a sewer is far worse than falling in a monsoon drain - which is the other fate I suffered whilst serving in foreign parts. I'm sure many of my compadres will have suffered the same fate.
By the way - I hate to think what Artist's wonderful erectable device that needs so much polishing is!

P.S. Good to see you back and very active Chunky. Long may it continue!!

A fellow bootneck nicking the rest of your rum!!
I find that hard to believe.
Although I have it from a good source that a bottle of 'saved' pussers neaters does not travel well between two locations in Gibraltar when large pink rabbits roam the streets.

Hi Rover!
As you well know - a bottle of pussers rum does not travel at all between locations in Gib. It doesn't get the chance.!! Pink Rabbits not withstanding!! I seem to remember the Pink Rabbit drinking most of it! He would have to - wearing that gear!!!
Yours,
S.B.

I've been watching a program on channel 2 'SAS Survival Secrets'. It was very informative and a good insight, but i think its taken away some of the ....erm....'mysticism' about the SAS. Do you lot agree that programmes like this should be made or do you think theyre just exposing all the hard training as not that its all cracked up to be????

Bootneck,
I've already awarded Chunky, Honorary Bootneck status. He is starting to show a real understanding of RM thinking and traditions!!

SAS survival secrets as a TV programme :-
1. They are not secrets. Just common sense - and in the public domain.
2. If you think they take the mysticism out of SAS training - then just put your name forward and you will find out!!

The easels fine now chaps and chapesses.
All I know is that it took forever to do the tasteful roses and castles deco on the ceiling. Lying on yer back for England is best left to the "ladies" who know. (Bootie the RSM reckoned it could have done with a coat of whitewash, Philistine!)
Micheal Angelo eat yer heart out!

what it is .As for yer man who asked the question maybe he might have seen it when he was working there as a eh carpet cleaner or a barman
or something. It`s only walters who ask those questions.
Re: How do you know if posters here are serving SAS or ex SA

[quote="veggie"]Well I guess the Thread topic says it all.
Anyone care to answer the following ? In private of course.
For example what does the sign say above the bar in the Sgt's Mess say ?
What is the nickname of the "social" club ?
Ask what course they were on I served with 21(SAS)R and was on course 026/03...you will not be breaching any persec or opsec disclosing this info.................and the course dates are only known by those who are on that course with dates of each excercise and drill night given to those only on that specific course 21SAS(R) run 2 courses a year.....Names above the sergeants mess and nicknames can be overheard by anyone or obtained by anybody attending a christmas party.Be specific on your questions that only real SAS or SBS would know the awnser too.I am happy to verify me SF crudentials but I wont conflict my security..I will and help where I can.I am new here and happy to awnser questions on SF Training,excersises..etc..But I expect there to be a lot more knowledge and advice here..I dont know it all..I wont disclose names of serving or operational soldiers....Because I was 21(SAS)R I only went to Hereford twice in my 3 year career I was lucky not many reservists do get to go.I dont know the nickname for the social club or the sign above the sergeants mess to be true but because I dont know that off the top of my head that does not make me not SF.
Ps...No.. I dont know Andy Mc Nab or Chris Ryan.
