Germans in charge!
I think there's nothing wrong with it.
In Iraq the Dutch marines are under the command of the British. Are these Dutch guys complaining of even deserting? No, why should they if the British officers do their job.
The Dutch are leading the UN force in Afganistan.
The smaller countries are used to be under command of bigger countries like the US or UK.

I thought Canada was leading the UN Mission to Afganistan at the moment, they are in charge of the ISAF troops that are present anyways. I believe the Dutch were in charge after the original incursion, then the Germans and now Canada. I know that 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group and 3 RCR, took over on August 11th 2003, from 152 Panzergranadier battalion.
But whatever the point is still the same thats Canada controlling forces from 29 other countrys at the moment. It happens all the time how else can you explain the nucks being so mad at us over Hong Kong in WW2. And us hating the French for disasters in WW1, and WW2 they had almost complete control of the BEF, didn't attack the krauts during the phoney war.

I think there's nothing wrong with it.
Depends on how they are in charge, if they're in charge of an operation then there's usually no problem but when they have the ability to affect a regiment at it's corp eg telling them how to do somthing and not just what to do then I think it is wrong. It all comes down to regimental and pride and pride in the country. At least thats how I see it. :fadein:

At least the Jerry's got fight in them, the French just surrender.
And I quote a German Sgt from 152 Panzergranadier battalion in Afghanistan in August.
If I die the maps are in my left pant pocket, the next leader will be your Fuhrer.

"I don’t think I could do it, because it wouldn’t be under British leaders they would be German or worse French... I would immigrate and join the Australian forces... "
The only thing worse that following the french into war would be to follow the bloody yanks!

Josh.
I see your joining the British Army,
so you are going to have to get used to following the bloody yanks,
are you not?
Wholley.

I do believe you meant
"bloody yanks", and yes I suppose I am mate!
I was atcually trying to point out that the Aussies are already far better at fighting other peoples wars than the British will ever be!

On the mention of fighting under the French, thats what I dislike about the comments on the French Forgein Legion and lyoalty to the Legion and not to France. Regardless of whether you are doing it for money or not in the end you are still doing Frances dirty work. And you may be loyal to the Legion but the Legion is loyal to France.
