To be honest fellas any padlock will do no matter where it's from, it's just to keep kit locked and safe, no one at ITC or any training facility is going to have bolt croppers, or have any time to go around breaking in to peoples lockers. so it's ok to get them any where, even pound land.

true and not true, when i was at pirbright about 8 lockers got broken into while we were on excercise,
they borrowed the bolt croppers of the quarter master saying they had lost there own keys, then broke into our block and did over the lockers. fortunately there fellow troop grassed them up

Really how sad, thief's have no place in the army, hate people who steal other peoples property.

Yeah a think theifs should have a punishment if they are found out, they are meant to be your mates.

and the kid who grassed i bet he got a beating! (not meaning this as in he should of by the way)

yea thiefs should get there hands chopped off lol.

imagine being on excercise or operations and that bit of kit you really need at that time isnt there cus some little bugger has nicked it.

anyhow back on topic: i bought padlocks today from ASDA and they seem fine

Are they combination or key ones?

key ones, the combination ones look ok too but i had already bought one from a locksmith for £8, bloody rip off lol

I’ve got a load of key locks and one combination lock. Just because it said to bring at least one.
I don’t like using combination ones coz there so easy to break in to, just by closing your eyes and felling when your on the right number.
(Not that id steal anything of course!)
