Do you think the USA and the preposed Euro superstate are the nearest things we will have for an empire of the future?
The USA and the preposed Euro superstate are not even in the same league as the British Empire or Roman Empire.

The British Empire for me without a shadow of a doubt.

Not taking anything away from the Roman Empire which was amazing. But I feel the British Empire contributed more to the world than the Roman's. And yes the British Empire was much larger, but that's due to our well trained Royal Navy. With out the Royal Navy the British Empire would have never been as powerful and as great as it was. The Roman's never commanded the sea's like the Royal Navy did.

Roman Empire feel apart and was destroyed, but not the British Empire.

And plus we never killed Jesus. :o

The British Empire is damn impressive. This little island controlling so much of the world.
I think both empires contributed greatly to the world in their respective eras and without either the world would be a vastly different place.

As far as the empire of the future is concerned my money is the baton will go on to China.

19th Century: Britain - Ruler of the seas
20th Century: USA - Ruler of the air
21st Century: China - Ruler of space
22nd Century: Grand Imperium of Harry Hackedoff - Ruler of all

Empires are created by bankers with an agenda. They use those empires by-proxy. The Romans were proded by the unquestionable people to murder Christ, much like the US is being proded to fight in a war that really doesn't have much to do with protesting us. By-proxy. Look what happened to the British Empire once they left said people in 1948. Operation Down Size the Empire occured shortly after.

Jason,
Harry's very quiet.
I think he must be plotting as we speak.
I wonder if we will all have to ride funny looking motorcycles?

Each was very impressive in it's day. The Romans took on most of the known world, were as we went out and found a lot of it. While we are on this subject how can you talk about Empires with out talking about Alexandra the Great.

The only problem with Empires is that they collapse!

Or smile and give away what they created to the people who lived in the Empire.

The Biggest Empire was the CCCP (USSR)

Not the British one. It just spread futher. But never came close to the amount of humanity that lived in the USSR. Why not just let people live as they want to?

Gosh I'm being Utopian yet again! What a silly BUNT!

Anyone know esparanto?

No?

Then the Tower of Bable rules!!!

I would say the British Empire because it created the worlds major 2 powers when it more of disbanded then collapsed. It created the USA of course unintentionally, but it left the next new super power English speaking.

You didn't have to read it mate, it is of sorts military orientated. Other people seem to have found it interesting. I was just trying to post something topical after posts about queers and picking your bloody nose, you seemed happy to contribute to the post about queers...

P.S. Sisyphus that wasn't intended to be having a go at you mate, just raising a point.

Roman Empire, brilliant in its concept.

The British Empire, an empire where the sun never set, so cannot be compared.

Watch out for an Islamic Empire, by torching and bombing and mass migration to countries other than their own.
