My point of view on it, is yes. the first 6 weeks is probably the hardest not physically but mentally as the discipline is driven into you the most in theses weeks, involving a lot of drill on the square ready for the week 6 passoff. so quite a few especially younger PTEs think about leaving. The saying i heard the most was "This isnt what i joined up for". Some dont give it enough time and think there just gonna arrive and be given a rifle and start shooting things straight away. Also a few cant handle the way they get spoken too or the beastings, but this does change after a while.

The first few weeks are a ballache but when you get past it its brilliant, i love it and cant wait to get back :D
