Yeah dont get me wrong, the british are the best forces in the world. But he said Para Regt arent Elite? So who is elite, in his opinion?
The Para's are elite, as to its demanding selection proccess. Only passing the most physicly fit and mentally fittest people. I do take this to heart, as my dad served 22 year in the regiment and im soon to be joining too.
To be honest, thes are FACTS. I think highly of other regiments, as for the fighting in Iraq and Afghan and i respect everyone who as been to these places. But come on lol the Paras arent Elite hhmmmmm

I don't think 'bottle' has anything to do with whether some one is scared of joining the paras lol, it's tough no reason to be afraid of it it's hard graft. and I've about 2-3 members of the family in 2 para, only reason i didn't choose it is for the fact you cant be a Para nor soldier for ever, got to stop some where some way.

So what made you chose the rifles mate? not being funny or anything but i bet alot of lads in the rifles couldnt do the stuff Para Regt lads do.

You're right they couldn't their not trained for it, I chose the rifles to look 'Cool as f*ck' why did you choose the paras? lol joke
I chose the rifles because of the opportunities available once you're in, it's not so 'Bottle necked' (as my recruiter said)
Going on what my recruiter said (and this is an interpretation)
It's like sticking you're finger in a bottle, hard to get in once you are in thou.. there's only one way out.. back the way you came and you're back at square one.
I like the para's their awesome, not my cup 'o' tea thou.

Hah it's not to bad, i think you're getting at me possibly being punched for my opinion, please don't think all paras hit people when they hear something they don't like.
Tell you something thou, when you got the part of the family in the paras, and 1 cousin in the Reme and a friend in the marines.... it's an experience..

Haha nah not punched mate, getting called a craphat etc. My dad loves to banter my brother because hes a Officer and not in Para Regt. Its a nightmare when there in the army talk though, i havent got a clue what there talking about lol

Can't wait! want the days to go faster lol.
Yeah the application process is a tad lengthy and irritating especially if you live 40 miles from you're recruitment office witch for me was the case meaning i had to take several days off. WORTH IT.
Best of luck with you're ADSC.
