Well done on passing lads, and i'll give you a bit of advice , If your given two dates for R.T one been later then the other then pick the later one , enjoy your freedom , get your phys upto top scratch . I made the mistake of taking an R.T date 10 days after prmc.

Agreed.

Also, keep your phys ticking over but don't go in fitter than PRMC level as you may well peak too early in training like me and hangout.

I don't agree with this mate, aslong as you are working flat out in training whether it be field phys or gym work you shouldn't really ever peak

The fitter you are the 'easier' you'll find training in general. This is just my opinion but I honestly don't think you can go in too fit

I agree. Maybe elite athletes can say that they are at the peak of their physical fitness but very few others can make that claim...ever.

I was given 2 dates and I chose the first one (28th jan and 10th Dec)Firstly, I want to get paid over Christmas, second I get 2 weeks leave for christmas and then get long week-end leave a week after going back when I complete foundation, and thridly, I've been waiting for this long enough to be as prepared as I'm ever gonna be. Even regarding my fitness I really don't think I'm capable of getting that much fitter without getting out of my comfort zone.

Eddie I'm assuming you haven't even been in RT yet so perhaps you should wait and see what the phys is like. If I was to further clarify if you do lots of medium distance runs you WILL suffer because RT phys is based around shirt intense runs and circuits.

I've heard pti's say dont peak too early and I think I'll go with their advice on this one. The best possible background for RT would be if you have spent years keeping your phys ticking over, say playing sports from an early age. Stating the obvious but you need to on this forum.

I'll reiterate

Aslong as you work at full capacity in training, whatever physical evolution that may be there's no way you can peak

Unless you are running 30 miles with fighting order everyday I'd say almost all people joining can improve weekly for fitness when in training
