Not sure if this is a bite or not, but if it isn't.... How is it over 100 reservists slotted in seamlessly with regulars in Op Telic ?

Does that mean the standards of regulars has dropped ?

Not at all.

But reservist's standards have got better. Remeber Its a reserves Hobby, a regulars Job. Some of our guys going over there are guys with 20 odd years of being in the Regs.

It's not a hobby at all - It's another job, albeit part-time. How may hobbies stand the risk of you going to war to kill people ?

As far as the 'Reservists are not professional argument' goes, I refuse to comment any further as reservists will never get they respect they deserve for doing what they do. Reserve forces have been beer drinking clubs in the past but that has greatly changed (at least in the RMR)

Now I've ranted, I'm taking my football home ;)

I know what you mean about "Not getting the respect they deserve" I've heard of "STAB's" which is regular slang for Terriers. Recently i found out that RMR's are called "Rubber daggers" By Reg RM's...i had never known before!

About the Hobby thing, sorry bout that. I agree that abroad when theres a job to do then its a very real situation.

Let me play
