Exmouth's out of bounds .

I have extreme difficulty in backing out of a fight. So I can't wait to get down there and put holes in heads .

its alrite saying yano we'll kick there heads in and that , but best thing to do is walk away you'll only end up having the shit kicked out of you or worse... killed . and the reason we arn't allowed in exmouth is due to all the trained ranks and training team go out round there , (they dont want us stealing all the birds in other words )

Best learn some self control then, or you wont be at RT long enough to have a run ashore!

I'd assume it would be best to run off atleast and not to fight whilst you are in recruit training, what if you get arrested? you'd be out of the marines in no time, all that hard work getting there wasted.

Theres been alot of talk about nods getting into fights with this group but to fully trained and ranks get started on?

Doubt these w****rs can tell the difference between trained ranks and nods tbh.

Sounds like the best bet during RT is to spend as little time as possible in town. You'll save money and get more sleep!

yupp my corporal had been started on quite a few tiems , they dont care what , or who you are , all nods and trained ranks are the same , marines in the end aye .

and woah woah woah , dont avoid going on a run ashore due to these nobbers , you'll lose your mind on camp otherwise , just heed peoples advice and walk away and if you cant hit hard and leg it

There are not quite as many trained ranks around to be honest. Britain has always had a problem with her military to be honest. Its best summed up by Rudyard Kipling:

When you have shore leave do you have too be back on base for a set time on the Saturday or can you return on the Sunday? If you can come back on Sunday then why book a room in a travel lodge in a non forces city and let your hair down there. If you split the cost it won't be that much. And travel should only be an hour or so. I do it quite often as I get bored of going out in the same city all the time.

could be a good idea later on in training matey , but for quite a bit of the first stages of training you have to be back by 10 , then works upto 12 , then think you can be back the next day .

People also realise that your not from round there area when they hear you speak, especially a group of lads who are all dressed smart with their same hair cuts and all sound different from you, shame it happens but goes with the territory of being a "fighter" I suppose....You'll always get a few who want to see just how hard these new recruits are so they make themselfs sound nails by saying they filled another group in....What goes around comes around though some day, and there is ALWAYS someone harder....their nothing but bullies, and they say bullies always scream louder and cry harder.....Wouldnt surprise me if they were all coked up as well if football factorys anything to go by....I got smacked by two Londoners the other week because I didnt do cocaine and didnt have any to sell them! And that was just on a normal night out in town! Arseholes everywhere you go unfortunately!

I imagine its not that much of a problem is it? If it was a massive issue im sure we would have been warned about it on here by now?

Just another question: Has CTCRM not had any contact with the wonderful police about this to help ensure the safety of recruits? Especially when theres a group of full on chumps purposely going around trying to knock bash the living sh!te out of recruits so they can go and sharpen their dicks about it later.

All im going to say is that in any case, if you can get out of it then do so. There is no point what so ever in having a scrap when you can walk away from it, especially when something as important as your career as a Royal Marine is on the line.

If that option has sadly passed you by then you do what you have to do or whatever it takes to ensure your personal safety (whatever that is...) then GET OUT OF THERE!

yes it is a sad thing blokes going out looking for trouble,ive had a few occasions in and around boro where ive had to think better of it cos you cant start RT with an unspent conviction.i think though alot of it on a night out is just for show,they put such a big front up and 90% of the time the person their picking on backs down and they look 'hard' to all their mates.its like a primate social show of whos the strongest.ive got a mate who has the best approach i think because he doesnt even say anything or push them or shout he just pegs em or sticks the nut on em and thats the end of that.

But personally for me it depends on the surroundings,if it was in the street i'd seriously think nothing of ramming my finger in his eye and biting his nose off-ive had alot of scuffles with smackheads and know people who've been stabbed,on the street its not worth the risk you either run,or hit them hard and fast then run.if thers a few of them you gotta revert to survival instincts and that is when you get nasty.

this sortof ties in with the boxing thread,its something im going to do in a couple of months because at the first sign of trouble you have the skills to put the aggressor down in a sharp blow,minimising the danger to everyone.
