Some of you are gonna think im a bit on the nutty side but my other half was at work today and i needed to do my mile n half training again so i took my 12 month old daughter with me !!!!!! in her pram !!!!!! f****n hell fire, i was a minute and a half slower than yesterday, did it in 13 mins with the pram!!!! but i dont think thats to bad considering my obvious disadvantage !!!!!, people were looking at me like i was a right t**t but training done and now i can have a beer !!!!!
On the serious side though.........i got so much work to do to get my time sub 10mins...........bloody hell fire i'll do it though !!!!!!
I find that i am posting far to much but my family and friends are getting tired of me talking about the Royal Marines, so heres where i share my thoughts................without boring the crap out of people (hopefully!!!!!).

You sound like you're off your feckin head !

My best advice for improving your 1.5 mile is to run longer distances eg. 3 mile plus. Will make your 1.5 feel a lot easier.

Good luck, they probably thought you had abducted that kid !

I may be wrong sniffpipes but I think I went through the same thing as you with your progress. Once I did 9 minutes per mile, next day I did about 8 minutes per mile. You think to your self if I am progressing this quick, imagine how fast I will be in a month. But don't be suprised if you start to average out soon and you only manage to knock off a few seconds from your last run. I just don't want it to hit you if you didn't already know.

Now your talking, being crazy is so stress-releaving. I once went out running with my friend in just boxers and trainers. What was the responce when you told her your 12 month daughter had gone out running with you.

With regards to my progress, my times are improving fairly fast and i appreciate that sooner or later my times will average out but im just trying to get my times down as fast as possible at the moment by pushin myself as hard as i can, once theyre down i will push even harder to keep em down !!!!!!
As far as running 3 milers to make the 1.5 easier is concerned........i will take that advice as its advice ive had 2 or 3 times now and as soon as i feel ready to do a 3 miler i will, and once ive done it i will continue to do it daily until my mile and a half becomes sub 10mins.
And then i will concentrate on getting my 3 mile time down too !!!!
Thats my plan anyway...........if anyone has a better idea then please come forward as im open to all advice(its more than welcome and much appreciated).
Erm........yeah.........the thought that people may think id nicked someones baby did cross my mind and most likely resulted in me putting on my shifty face, and looking even more of a t**t.
Oh yeah.......when my missus got home from work tonight and i told her about the run..........she very nearly p****d her pants (i shouldve taken a video, i really did look ridiculous)
Anyway.....alls well that ends well, i got my training in and my little un got 13 minutes in the sun and alot of flies in her face( arms and legs all over the place during the run...........but i think she enjoyed it !!!!!)
Something to tell her when she gets older !!!!

Surely you jest. Don't quite see these numbers and distances adding up.
