Yeh you can get your wet on no worries and a breakfast of bacon and beans, but you have to do that, wash, shave, clean your rifle, take your poncho down, pack your bergan, go to the RV point and set your kit muster out immaculatley all on about an hours disturbed sleep and a grumpy bivvi partner and grumpier Sgt waiting. :D

It's 4 days and its harsh. First exercise with kit musters, crash moves, mega early inspections (4:30am for 920!)

You do some target identification and some a very basic night nav but it's really any excuse to get you running up and down those damn hills lol.
geez, we were doing kit musters on first step. crash moves on early night and they had us doing a stalk on quick cover. I'm not looking forward to Marshall Star :o

Same here, my troop were crash moved on ex first step, and given a fair old thrashing too, plus we had a kit muster in the morning, wet n dry started (officially) on quick cover too, we had 5 lads huntered after marshall star, causing a bit of a stir as i remember. Mind you our training team were rumoured to be harsh on the nodvine knowone in 860 wanted to be backtrooped  , but the lads i stayed in contact with after leaving said they were awesome in phase two, so swings and roundabouts.
