I got 10:45 on my PJFT, but by the time I do my PRMC it will have been 5 months ago so it won't exactly be an indicator of my current fitness..
Should be good for some piss-taking though!

Hello people,
Just wondering
Its 1.5 miles mate. The time limit is 10.45 but its expected that you run it in under 10.
If its 1.5 mile in 10.45, then what does that equate to as kmh on the treadmill? just wondering so i could have a bash at it in the gym.[/quote

You have to run at level 14.2 to come in under 10.45. You can make the level higher than that if you want but cant go any higher than level 16. I think i posted some where before that i was speaking to someone at the careers office or somewhere like that and he said some lads willl run the pjft in 9 mins or less and go on to fail Prmc and then theres lads that do it in around 10 minutes but pass prmc.
I did mine in 9:54 but could have done it faster and was fitter by the time prmc came around.

1.5 on a treadmill is 241 km on the meter at level 15.5 - 16 you should do it in 9.30 but thats on the treadmills i use at my local gym so speed mayvary from treadmill types but as i said, 1.5 miles is 241km from what my instructor said

im guessing you mean 2.41 in which case your right. its 1.6km to every mile so your 0.01km off (10 meters lol) thought id be precise. do speeds change on different treadmills?

16kmh brings you in at 9:18, but it can be faster if you can get the machine to start up quicker.

Quick question.....can you listen to music through headphones whilst doing your PJFT?
It just gets so boring on a treadmill, and the time goes so slowly!

You sure can

. I did but ended up pulling them out because I was sweating and had to keep stopping them falling out.

Good stuff, I think I'll stick on the live version of Greenday's 'Jesus of Suburbia' and aim to finish before the song does! (It's just over 9mins long).

Hi guys, I went for my morning run (3 mile) and then hit the gym and after 30mins of weights (which for some reason today i was totally crap at!) i hit the treadmill to have a go at the PJFT as promised.
Well ill be honest my time was just under 11 mins. If it were for real i would have failed (not by much though). Now for trying to make myself feel better - I was tired from the run and weights, and seeing as im yet to even apply and am still a bit of a little fat kid (working on it though) i dont think it was too bad.
Ah well, ill keep at it, maybe next time ill have a stab at it fully rested though.
How did you getg on with yours 'quirk'
