Cheers mate, Iran seems pretty easy stuff to remember. Especially Mahmound Ahmadjindad's name. Some big names we got to remember.
My AFCO has scarred me

To be honest mate, I wouldn't be too fussed about remembering long unpronouncable names. I personally never got told it would be important and at this stage of the game, I'd stick to making sure you spend your time reading and UNDERSTANDING the affairs rather than the finest of details. I'm sure it WOULD impress the right people if your knew them, but there's bugger all value in it unless you can apply the names to the right situations. Can you imagine "candidate JCAP: excellent physical scores, 100% determination, good Naval and current affairs knowledge...didn't know the name of the president of Iran...Sorry, no commission....." Can't see it can you!

I thought I'd inform you gents that the essays I did on 8th May were the same as in Deadheads diary so they could well be the same for you.
But remember assumption is the mother of all muck ups, or something along those lines.

It's a very good possibility, that kind of shite usually happens to me

Thats the way my AFCO made it sound, but he's doing me a favour i guess.
themattmeister: That's some useful info, thanks.
Sorry mate, but this is now on your head

"Give you views on the issue of gun crime in the UK"
"Do you think the west can ever win the war on terror"
"The invasion of Iraq was justified even without WMD"
"Describe an incident where you displayed leadership and what you learned from it"
These are the essay titles - not presuming that they are same.....

yep... 1st question, does anyone know where you can get info on recent medal winners in the corps, from Iraq, Afghanistan etc? - prob G&L but not scoured yet.
I've - had to rest my shoulder for the last 3 weeks - no weight bearing exercise at all - i think it's best to do these pyramid press-ups and pull-ups in the last week to try and get some strength back, agree?
cheers

I can give you a little lead for a google search. Matthew Tomlinson, gallantry cross in Iraq, you might be able to find a good source from that info. Maybe have a look at NavyNews website.
Probably would be a good idea to get some strength back as you would have lost a fair bit, take it steady.

By doing any exercise in the final week leading to the POC won't help you at all so the best thing to do is nothing at all. Sods law, you will make it worse. You could try doing a few pressups and pullups to loosen off but don't go mad. In the final 3 days, begin carb loading.
I need to start learning these medal winners. We can go over these next Sunday.

You see that may be the case if he hadn't had any time off but because he has not used it for a while a bit of judicial phys would induce some muscle memory and he may be able to get near to where he was pre-injury. Of course have to be VERY VERY CAREFUL. Avoid explosive movements.

Yeah, its like a good ol' game of Russian roulette
"a bit of judicial phys would induce some muscle memory and he may be able to get near to where he was pre-injury."
Doesn't that mean re-learning a skill (e.g. one leg before the other when walking), not necessarily how much the body is willing to take?
