bit of advice for you all dont think about the minimums like level 10 when you start recruit training when you do the bleep test we were expected to get level 12 at least all the time

In theory, I guess. But why would you want to? Everyone would be fitter than you and you'd have less of a chance of getting through than the guy knocking about 60 pressups across the room.

Yeh I like "the pain of carrying on is far less than the pain of quitting will be..." or words to that effect!

"Winners never quit, quitters never win..." etc!

All a bit cliched but all true.

This has been going for some time. I did my Prmc in 2003 and having got a poor score on the Mechanical Comp in my RT i was told i needed level 12 on the bleep test. In gym test one as was said before the names of those who had done poorly on the RT were read out and they were told to get at least level 12. The theory was, (as i was told at the AFCO) that obviously during training there are many components, weapons training, military knowledge, physical fitness and many more and that recruits who got a poor Mechanical Comp score were expected to struggle with the mechanical sides of weapons handling and such like. Therefore although they are not linked, it was hoped that thier physical fitness would be of a higher standard so that they are not struggling in that area of training aswell. Knowone is going to excell at all aspects, but you are less of a training risk if you are biff in as few a components as possible.
