Thank you, Sneaky. Charming as ever.
I'm afraid I can't take the credit for posting it, though. A certain Mr Hackedoff responded to my request for help and I am guessing that it was himself, with the aid of smoke and mirrors, did the biz for me.
If I am guessing correctly he also has another one which I (in a very rash moment and one which I am sure I will live to regret) told him to 'have fun with.'
I expect it will turn up sooner or later when he's finished plotting and scheming. Oh dear.

Dunno about you, Sticky, but I get fed up with flat batteries. When is someone going to invent a People's Friend which can either a) be worked by dynamo (pedal, you bugger .....faster) or b) a mains-powered system which would mean avoiding the soggy stuff at all costs.
