Langarotti,

I think look on the bright side mate your only 16 and your seem dead kean on joining up again when the time is right. To be honest I don't think the time is right for you now. You seem a active person so why not go travelling for 6 months or so come back and get back into training with a new fresh positive attitude and then go back to CTC and get the green beret which you have been told you can get by the people who have done it and have been succesfull in what they wanted to do.
I hope this has given you some ideas of how you are going to achieve your goal.

I know this may sound a bit stupid coming from a guy who has just turned 14 but I think if you are 16 you are probably a bit too young.
This totally contradicts what I have just said but here we go. As soon as I finish my A-levels I will join the RM(I hope!).
However I would have spent 18 years of my life with the army. I don't think I could adapt to civvie street. Everything I have ever known has been military.
It sounds stupid but its wat I think.

Joe your making it sound like joining the RM is the same as going to jail. Of course you'll be ale to adapt to civvie street. Only prisoners that have spent 40-50 yearss in jail get institutionalised. Think about it.
Listen in men give 100% or i will thrash you till your eyes bleed!

God is airborne because he failed his commando course!

Yeah unlucky mate. :-? Im as you say ('fully grown at 20') and when I have been for a good run-i feel like I've got asthma. On this Royal Marine documentary thats on this week, one of the instructers said that out of 60 recruits, only about 18 would go the whole way. He didn't go into specifics but there were quite a few in Hunter company. At least you've got one thing on your side-your age. You have time to 'prepare' :-? for any future plans, whereas older people would probably only have 1 or 2 chances left. Good luck with whatever you choose anyway. :)
Bloody Arse!
