No you become a phase 2 trainee when you finish your phase 1 training.

About 9 Miles away from you Bovie

Answer me 1 Question how can you be an Able Rate (AB) if you are still a trainee an AB has to know there Part 2 And 3 Training at least.
Hope you arn't like this in training

Bovie i wasn't going off on one i wish you good luck in your naval career the Navy has changed in many ways since i was in and will carry on doing so without me.

No Bovie aint like tha in trainin an I know why hes sayin that ur an AB after phase 1 because thats what our class were told. I dont know if its right or not now but we're jus goin on what we were told.

I got the impression that you're an AB after all your professional training is complete. Like as an OM, after your branch training you'll qualify as an OM(2) in whatever field you're going into. How can you be an Able Seaman if you haven't finished your training. Maybe until then you're an Unable Seaman?! :)

Sailorboy a CHOPS is an Old Chief Petty Officer Ops you would not understand it till you get some salt on your shoulders ( Sea Time )
