well, visited our man again today, seems in good spirits, and took some more fruit and nutty down to him, bet he wishes he was back on compo. like i said on my previous post, he seems in good spirits, didn`t stay long, as his family were present, and i didn`t want to intrude. Hopefully going again on Tuesday, yes with even more fruit :o it`ll be a case of sprinting to the heads, not walking :o

He has agreed to people sending cards etc, but obviously we don`t want to attract the press, so i will be passing on his name and contact details to Rob, if its ok by him, so anybody wanting to visit/send cards etc, please contact Rob, and post any feed back on here, once again, on our mans behalf, thanks for all the support and kind words, and thats from his family as well, cheers all, trev

if i go on at this rate, i`ll get my Florence nightingale 3`s badge soon :D

Yea he was discharged... speaking in a garden and seemed to have injuries to his neck similar to burns. He explained what happend.

They were pinned down and arty airburst were coming in. The lads were flat down but he caught some up. He seemed to be in fairly good spirits.

Commando Smith... No Mr Sky presenter Marine please!!

Sticky, heard him on the Radio, different contact. 40 Commando were advancing to the start line and were to await "H" hour, when the artillery/mortars opened up, middle of no where and no cover to boot, he had a main artery in his neck severed, has the stiches out this week, and hopes to be back in iraq soon :(

sticky, don`t think our man in hospital will be out before the end of play in iraq, he`s in for at least six months, but saying that, he`s up and about, so i suppose it`ll be down to the Doc.

Steve, i think there`s already a basket case in Truro............er...no offence Rob
